I need help ID an engine component (Pic Inside)

I was repairing some vacuum lines and I broke off a piece of the component in the pic where the vacuum line slides on. My problem is I do not know what this component is so I can replace it. If anyone has an idea I would be appreciative.

Talking

it depends which part you mean, the larger round black one is your water or heater control valve (depends whom you ask). If you lived in MN we'd know by now!
