Back to the original question. IMO if you guys hook up to each other, your uncles 4.10's, 33's, and 3/4 ton will give him the advantage.

I have a 99 F150 4x2 with 3.55 LS and tow pac and regularly haul a skid steer on a tandom trailer, close to 6500#. I just put it in drive and go, doesnt add much more than a couple sec to my 0-60 time. Heck, at 55-65 it wont shift out of over drive on a descent grade. So go for the pull, you will smoke him..

Ok , 4wd-low( more low end torque), hook to your tow ball , put 10 bags of cement in the bed, can be returned later to home depot. Pull slow and easy , let him break traction first, then gun it and pull is his sorry butt as far as you want or until he cries "Uncle". Then have a few beers and gloat.

The faster you go in 4Lo the louder it sounds. That is normal. You can push it to the redline. Mine is 6500 rp and it has gone to that many times. 5th gear 6500 rpm is about 80 mph. you want to talk about whine.

D@mn JMC,

if you got that truck up to 80 in 4low than your either crazy or really rich, or very stupid (which i dont believe cuz i've read your posts) i dont think my truck has gotten past 5700 rpms. hm......i gave it some gas in 4low and it scared the hell out of me, i could just see myself trying to explain to a dealer what the situation was doing over 60 in 4low

thanx
