Seeing if I have PI Heads

I'm gonna be needing to check to see if I have PI heads on my truck really soon.

Where is the marking in the head? Can someone give me an idea of where it's at so I can find it easier?

Thank You

This is from Neal's gallery. Looks like the PI is stamped on the exhaust side of the heads.

In his own words "Take a look through you wheel well on the passenger's side of your truck. Look at the very front of the head just below the valve cover. There is a casting # and by it it will have two larger letters saying "P.I" . If you don't have that stamped into the casting, then you don't have "P.I" heads."

Intel,

Your profile indicates that you have a 2000 so if you have the 4.6 you don't have Pi heads but if it is a 5.4 you do. The 4.6 got them in 01 and the 5.4 in 99.

That's why I've suspected. I do have the 4.6l but I have people tell me different things all the time so I want to be positive...

I almost don't want to have PI heads so I can get the increase in power when I put them on but then again, I don't really want to have to spend the money right now to get PI heads...

I broke something in my motor w/ nitrous, am off warranty, so I'm wanting to do a forged motor.

Ok, to be sure go to the driver side and look through the wheel well just above and forward of the rear most exhaust port for the Letters "PI" cast into head. Just like in the picture.

Thanks, I'll go look for it when I a chance.

Edit: Just checked and no PI heads for me. It's really easy to see through the wheel well.
