Question Electric Colling Fan

I am currently looking into buying an Electric Cooling Fan (single or dual) for my 2000 F-150 5.4L. I have already installed an FIPK Gen II Kit and Flowmaster Dual Catback System. Unfortunately, I am still only getting about 12 or 13 MPG. Any other ideas on increasing HP and MPG other than an electric fan is more than welcomed.

With the electric fans I did not see any increase in city milage but the highway milage increased abou 1.5 mpg. You might try a Superchip or micro-tuner to increase the shift points. A set of underdrive pullies will also help a little.

The best way to increase milage is improve driving habits . You must also realize that if you have a Supercab/Crewcab with 4WD the deck is stacked against you already. The additional weight of the extended cab or extra components of 4WD make the power to weight ratio very difficult to overcome. The increased performance the e-fans, chip/tuner, intake/exhaust, or pullies will be less noticable in a heavier truck.

It is part of the price we pay for driving these trucks.
