Insufficient flow related to misfire?

Since I bought my truck 5k miles ago the check engine light has been on for the code PO401. I was told it was no big deal, and that the EGR valve just needed to be cleaned. Recently my truck started to shutter and pop. I checked the codes again, and now I also have the code PO303 (cylinder 3 misfire). Could this have happened because of my EGR? I am now planning to get both fixed....anyone know an estimate cost?

i had a bad DFPE(po401)and a bad coil on #3 but i dont think they were related to each other. the DFPE was $80 from the dealer and the coils are $50 from advanced auto. only take a couple of minutes to replace them
