Heavy Duty Radiators??
Heavy Duty Radiators?? EDIT more info
Hi Gang.
I am about to install my Troyer fan kit and I was wanting to replace my stock 1 row radiator with a 2 or 2 row radiator at the same time.
Does anyone have any information on heavy duty radiators for my '03 F-150 Screw, auto trans truck?
A search of the internet has turned up a bunch of radiator places but no one offers anything besides the stock unit.
EDIT: I have found a radiator service that has large tube, single core, heavy duty units for our F-150's. I will post up info later this afternoon, along with pricing.
Thanks,
Lonster

Try looking for a rad for a 97 F-150. They are basically the same truck. There are plenty of 2 rows available. Autozone has a 2 row pn 431329 for a 4.6. Or pn 431355 for a 5.4. You just have to be creative in the way you look for it.

OK. Here's the info that I have come up with.
There is a company called Arrowhead Radiator Service that has a heavy duty, large capacity replacement for the 2003 F-150.

Angela found 2 new part numbers for the two possible radiators that our trucks came with.
Here's what you will need to know before you call her.
Measure the radiator hose inlet/outlet size. There are two choices. One radiator uses 2 inch in/out and the other radiator uses both a 2 inch and a 3 inch in/out.
Measure the radiator core. You are looking to see if it is (approximately) 32 w x 17 h x 1 inch deep.
If your core is significantly larger or deeper than these dimensions, than you may need to get more info, but this is the basic size for most of the 2003 F-150's. (This may also be the case for many other years also. Call Angela and ask.)
The large capacity radiator is exactly the same EXCEPT for the wider (read thicker) radiator core channels. Instead of making a 2 row unit, they just made the tubes wider. The stock radiators have a 1 inch deep core and these replacements have a 1 - 3/8 inch core, thus giving almost 1/3 more capacity.
Pricing: The price for the unit with both 2 inch in/out is $160.00.
The price for the unit with 2 inch and 3 inch in/out is $156.00.
There is no charge for shipping to the US, lower 48 states. Other areas and Canada do have a shipping cost.
If this intrigues you, call A.R.S. and ask your questions. If you get the answer machine, LEAVE A MESSAGE!. Angela WILL call you back.
I will get my new radiator later this week and I will add to this post with an update.
I hope this helps,
Lonster
