TPS Adjust Question

I read in a post awhile back that adjusting the TPS should be done while the engine is running. I performed this adjustment only once before on a different truck (Dodge) with the igntion on but the motor not running. Did not notice much if any difference on the other truck when adjusting the TPS to approx .98 volt.

Engine on or off during adjustment??

Adjusting it with the engine off is easier. You do not need the engine on to adjust it, just the ignition.

Thanks JMC.

I've looked for the previous post that addressed my question, but came up dry. I suspected (like you) that ignition "on" is all that's needed.

Cheers,
