Conventional vs. Synthetic Oil?

I don't think Valvoline is a full synthetic...mobil 1 is though. Synthetic is better though for longer intervals, thermo protection (hot and cold), flowability, etc. More stable in general.

If you go Dino, change every 3,000 miles.

If you go synthetic go 5,000 miles with OTC synths.

If you decide to go exotic, like Red Line, Amsoil, etc. YOu can use anywhere from 12,000 miles to 24,000 miles(amsoil) or 18,000 miles (Red Line). For longer intervals UAO is recommended.
