PI heads and increased compression ratio...

I had a previous thread about adding PI heads to my 98 5.4L and was told the Compression ratio would increase to about 10:1 or 10.5:1. Will the truck run normal with the stock fuel maps? Has anyone done this?

You will need to run premium to avoid detonation. While you are at it get a chip burned to maximize the timing for the premium fuel.

Thats not too bad. Do I need a custom chip or is there one on the market that will work?

Thanks,

Contact Mike Troyer in the Computer Chips forum. He is the Superchips distributer. He knows his stuff. He just reflashed my chip.
