Plug and Wire board preferences

What are you guys running in your trucks...?

I have a 1998 F-150 and need to do a complete tune up. Truck currently has 122,000 mile and I suspect is on original stuff.....work truck.

I wanted to upgrade so as to see some improvement in MPG so what are you guys running. I will not run Bosch (too many problems in other vehicles). From what I can gather for doing the search, the copper core plugs seem to be more prone to detonation and people seem to think the stock wire sets are junk.

I would consider going aftermarket (ie Denso/NGK iridiums for plugs and MSD/Taylor for wires) but I want to make sure that they are specific applications for my truck. I don't want to have to jimmy any of the wires and I want the plugs to be the proper heat range. Where are you guys getting your parts...Summit...Jegs...?

Thanks for the info in advance and post away. All opinions welcome here

If your engine is unmodified, you should just stick with the Motorcraft double platinum plugs. Im not sure about the wires, I personally would probably just stick with motorcraft again.

You can get the motorcraft plugs from autozone, not sure about the wires though.
