Question Foreign object in cylinder???

I recently developed what I thought might be a thrown rod or something catastrophic like that occur to my engine...Bottom line is that the engine sounded like it had a jack-hammer for a motor.

My mechanic says that the jack-hammer sound coming from the engine may be something that's been sucked inside and is now rattling around inside.

Has anyone ever had anything drop inside the intake and down into the cylinder?

Is there anything inside the FIPK that could come loose and be sucked inside? Can a large carbon deposit dislodge, be sucked inside and cause this type of sound?

The mechanic says the engine is running fine with no missing, but just sounds horrible.

Thoughts...clues...feedback?

I'm gonna drink several and wonder what the heck it could be...

Thanks

You could have a rod bearing starting to fail. I had one go because metal went through the oil system and it knocked up a storm. If it gets worst, then you have beaten out the bearing and are going crank to rod directly. good Luck.
