Replace and/or upgrade fuel injectors?

I've got a '97 F150 4.6 with 165k miles on the original fuel injectors. Instead of getting them cleaned, I found a good deal on new Bosch and Accel injectors. The choices are 19#, 21#, 23#, 24# and up. I know the OEM are 19#. Would there be any kind of benefit to get 21# or even 23#? FYI, I'm running a custom CAI and Borla cat-back as far as perf. bolt-ons.

Keep the 19s. With the mods you have the 19s are enough. If you went bigger you would have to get a Chip tuned to compensate for the diffference.

JMC is right. Bigger injectors require additional changes in many instances. MAF, Chip or Recalibration and maybe even a fuel pump to get anything out of them. Your mods shouldn't require any more fuel. Now on the other hand if you are planning on making some serious changes this would be a great time to make a switch.

Thanks for the info, guys. I ordered the 19# injectors. Got them for $160 shipped. No serious mods for a while. Just needed to get some routine maintenance taken care of. Thanks again!

Got the new 19# injectors installed. No more rough idle. The old ones were very nasty on the outside (kinda wonder what they are like on the inside). No more coke-bottling at high revs too. Hopefully gas mileage will go up a bit also.
