Cool

HI!... Theres a company called DETROIT GASKET that makes a one piece solid rubber valve cover gasket. I have a set on my 351W (408C.I). They seal really well. If you have stamped steel (chrome) valve covers then make sure they are *SQUARE* on the gasket sealing surface. Or you can also use *SPREADERS* which are long steel tabs that fit under the valve cover bolts and help spread the bolt pressure across a wider surface of the valve cover flange.

I use permatex black form a gasket sealant on the cork gaskets, never had a leak to speak of. I've tried once or twice to use the silicone stuff, and it always makes the gaskets squeeze out everywhere. The black permatex stuff seals like a vault, hehe,,,,98

The black permatex is the number 2, unless I'm mistaken. Use it, you will be surprised

I say black, but it really looks like a dark olive green, Just to help stop any confusion before it starts, hehe.,,,98
