04 5.4 Track times

I would expect it to run a bit faster than that.
My 2002 5.4 SCrew, completely stock, went 16.29 @ 82 mph, at a slow track.
On the bike in St. Louis, I'm used to going about .15 seconds quicker than at home.
The '04 has more power, but is heavier than the 02' also.
It may get down to about 15.8 with the short bed 2wd, a solid launch, and a good track.
by the way, the 60' on that run was a 2.30.

I've gone 16.0@91 mph with a 4.6 and 3:08's. It weighs 4760. 01 X-Cab 4X2. The new truck is heavier by 300 pounds I believe, every 100 pounds is a .10 sec, or 10 horsepower on a 3000 pound vehicle.
www.corral.net has Hp and 1/4 mile calculators, I'm sure you could go there and plug in some numbers and get an esimate.

My truck setup is a
2000 F-150 Extended Cab 4x2 w/ the 4.6l engine. When I race it I don't do any weight reduction. I keep the trailer hitch, Tailgate, and Snugtop bedcover on.
My Best times with 3.08 gears, Superchip, and no muffler was a 17.4 @ 80...
I've now got Electric Fans, Magnaflow Cat-back, Underdrive Pulleys, K&N FIPK, Superchip, and 3.73 Limited Slip. The best time I've run with this setup is a 16.55 @ 82. The weather was around 70 degrees and decent humidity.

I'm with you on this one. I've never seen a stock extended cab truck with the small V8 and 3.08 gears come remotely close to a 16.0 et.....and especially at 90mph. I don't care where you run at or what temperature it is, nobody will run that in this trucks package. Now if the truck is moderatly modded, then a 16.0 et is reasonable....but not the 90mph. In rough terms, to run 90 mph in the 1/4 would translate to about a 15.0 et. Just my 2cents worth.
