Question Speed mods

I am a former mustang 5.0 owner whose about to get a 4.6 F150 (insurance laughed when I suggested a new mustang as I killed my last one ), its likely to be a crewcab. So what can anybody tell me about this engine?
How does it differ from the stangs 4.6?
What kind of speed mods can be made on this engine?
Will speed mods effect towing capacity?
Considering the weight difference between the stang and the f150 is it going to be even worth my time to try and mod this engine?
I cruised some the other f150 sites but there seems to be little speed mod info unless you go to lightning specific sites, which are great resources if youve got a SC 5.4 under the hood but dont do much for an NA 4.6.
Thanks!

The intakes are different as the Stang TB faces the passenger side and the truck faces front. Most of what you can do to the Mustang 4.6 you can do to the Truck engine. The basic difference in the engines is the power band. The truck developes torque at a lower rpm. You can easly get that truck in the 300 hp range. But it is starting at 231 not the 260 that the Mustang has.

If you can, opt for the 5.4.

From there get a supercharger, and you'll be happy.
