Hi to all!!! I am new on here and just wanted to see if anyone can help me!!! I own a 1998 Ford F-150 4x4 ext-cab xlt,under my hood i have no heat insulator on inside of hood is it normal not to have it,will it be a problem if i dont get 1 and put it in,i just am not sure if it will bubble up paint on hood from the heat.If anyone knows where to get it besides the dealer cause it is expensive from dealer.Thank you for all of your time!!!!Keith

 

i have a 97 with no insulation, and its black... there is no paint fading or bubbles... nothing to worry about.. oh yeah, i have 106k on it too..

 

I have a 98 with a 5.4L, black with no hood liner and the paint looks fine.
