Spark plug torque
I just posted a reply but stuck it in the wrong spot. At the last ford clinic I went to we were warned not to use never sieze on any plugs (this was a 5.4l clinic). The oil runs down and directly on the plug so it takes very little to do damage. Keep in mind that platnium plugs foul VERY easy and some are expecting 100,000 miles from them. You should ask jimmsimm though he would know better. We learned alot but I will keep it to myself, Aparintly being helful to others isn't that rewarding.
You are correct WMCNALLY, the plugs fire differently. I've heard half fire anode to cathode, the other half fire cathode to anode. Thus Ford installs 2 different plugs from the factory. Presumably it's ceaper than double plat's.
If you look in the owner's manual, under spark plug part number, it is very specific about if you remove a plug you must put it back into the cylinger it came from.

Just had the Plugs and two coils replaced on My 2007 5.4 Triton, now smelling raw Gas, when starting up, friend says He had the same problem, was told whoever did the work did not torque the plugs, is this true, and is their a possibility of blowing out a plug ? 81,300 miles
