Question Cleaning IAC

When the IAC is removed and cleaned... do you need to replace the gasket or can it be re-used?

Thanks

About a year ago a guy asked for help after he rebuilt his own transmission, ended up with some parts leftover and the truck could only be driven in Reverse. He was wondering if he would have to take it to a Shop.

Someone recently posted about the IAC gasket costing 63 cents and after I read this thread I was wondering,
did you rebuild your tranny last year?

Raoul-
Not quite.... not enough miles on mine yet for that.....
Sounds like I will be picking up a gasket...

I was saving my 63 cents on something fun.... just not found anything for that price yet.

When I did mine last winter, I installed a new IAC. Later I tried to clean the old one by spraying brake cleaner and wiping inside the port with a rag. Not much came out. Anybody have a good way of cleaning this thing. I want to reuse the original one next time I have to replace it.
