I didn't race that night. The best I ever did at the track was a 16.7, but since I put my new tires on, it ran a 17.3

I'm wondering why you're trying to compair a half ton for with a differently named chevy? the 1500 HD chevy is essentially a 3/4 ton truck rebadged (even chevy admits this, it's easier to sell a half ton truck to the public than it is to sell a 3/4 ton)...with a diesel no less, this really is apples and oranges. A better comparison would be a F-250 SD with the Power Stroke, put a chip and gibson exuast on that and see what kind of power you get. Otherwise, if you're going to spend the money for the diesel chevy, why not use the money you'd have left over on the ford and buy a supercharger.....be kinda like a 4X4 lightning or a Harley Davidson edition (and yeah, that'll smoke the chevy in speed no contest).

just my 2 cents

You cannot get the Duramax in a 1500 HD, and I don't think my 17 second ORP would run a 15.2 with a supercharger.

Chevy can suck on my SS dual tail pipes all day long! They will be eating the road pellets from my rear end even more when I get my Supercharger!
