Plugs & wires

Just looking for info
I recently had the local dealer replace my plugs and plug wires on my '97 F-150 with a 4.6L V8.
Without telling you what I had to pay, I'm tired of the loud guffaws and references to vaseline, what has been your costs for this repair?
Thanks for your feedback
E

Did my own few months back. I was told that a wire set was not available from the dealer and that they only sold the wires seperate. I went aftermarket for the wire set($ 65.00) and plugs were another$30. Took me little less than two hours to do plugs and wires. Know that this is not a fair comparison but thought I would throw this into the mix...

Mine was missing bad and I took it to the dealer to find the problem. Just to put it on the machine was $75. They did correctly identify a problem with the #4 wire. How much could it be to have them go ahead and do the plugs and wires? Wow. You know what I'm talking about. I bought the wires $70 and another $20 or $30 for plugs and took it to a small shop that charged $75 bucks to put them in. It was more of a hassle but I ended up saving half what the dealer wanted.

I was quoted $450 for plugs and wires from my dealership. (Parts and labor) Ended up getting Denso Iridium plugs, Accel SS wires, aswell as an Accell Performance coil (which would have not been replaced at the dealership for the price i was quoted) for less then $300, and plan to do the install myself.

Angry

I also have a '97 with a 4.6 and changed out the plug wires after a misfire in #6. $128.00 Canadian for a set. I just about had a stroke to say the least!
