Question MAF Sensor Positioning

Does it matter which way the MAF sensor is pointing? Forward, Backward, Up, Down?

After reinstalling installing the MAF with the new intake, it is facing backwards (towards the back of the truck.

kaliscrew2k2,

There was a thread on this last summer ( AUG ?? ) that I cannto fidn yet, but I think it was the OEM position of the plug connector facing down. I think.

I don't know how much the difference is going to make, when I had the JLP AirRam Air box installed, it was pointing up.

I could be wrong about the OEM placement direction, my feeble mind is telling me is faced down, so take that with a grain of salt.

I cannot recall what what the difference was in the positioning of it, i.e. more accurate air flow metering ? Got me, if I find it I'll post the thread on it.

Steve
