Track Times for the 5.4

I ran my 2000 5.4 longbed tonite at the track. Ran a best of 10.48 at 68.75mph in the 1/8 mile. How is mine performing in comparison to other stock 5.4's on street tires? anybody else have any times?

Yours is running just like everyone elses'. I've got a 97 Scab w/ the 5.4L auto, and it runs 10.5's in the 1/8 all day long.

Well I guess it is performing to expectation then. Probably would have done a bit better if it was not 90 degrees out here.

That time would drop a bit if you werent in 90 degrees. These 5.4's hate heat, atleast both of mine do. Anything above 75, and its sluggish. Put it in 65 or below, and it runs like a scalded dog.

Case in point: Racing a buddys Dakota. In 90 degree heat, I cant pull on him. I do end up with maybe a half a car. Put me in 60 degrees, and that lead stretches a bit to 1-1 1/2.
