I have a neighbor who has had every make and brand of truck for his company. He told me that he has had real bad luck with the 5.4L engines once they get up to 150,000 miles. Has anybody else heard or had serious problems once they reach this mileage?

Do a search on high mileage motors. I have read forums where people are seeing over 200,000 miles on these motors in fleet vehicles without any issues. I have a 97 5.4 with 170,000 trouble free miles and I just installed a magnacharger. No problems so far, knock on wood. I did a compression check before the install and the lowest cylinder was 160 psi. I think the service limit is 110 psi. What kind of problems was he seeing?
