Question Bosh PLus 4

Ok.. I purchased some Bosh Plus 4's tonight for a plug change and am now realizing that I should not have done that because it seems that there are very few of you guys using them.. Im guessing I should return them and get the Motorcraft platinum 2's or the DENSO IT-20's .. Am I tracking all of you correctly??

I would say you are tracking correctly. I won't even put thier platinums in my truck. Not ever again. I used them twice. And both times they set my CEL off for a couple thousand miles. I'll be sticking to Motorcrafts myself.

I work for a dealer and you would be amazed how many non motocraft plugs we replace due to the plugs causing a drivability issue. Go with the oem motocraft plugs just my 2 cents

Talking

40,000 miles on my + 4's. Seems to be working ok for me. It is usually better to stick with OEM when in doubt.

I hate to say it, but better her car than my truck...
Friday night I had my Friend's girlfriend's Camaro in my garage. I know it sounds weird, but that is what we do for socializing on a Friday night, work on cars. Anyhow, we were tunning the 90 RS 305 up and noticed that the previous owner used Bosch plats. That explains why her car was misfiring all the time. The thing ran like SHXT, so we replaced it with some AC Delco's. The car is running stronger now that it did with teh Bosch!

I second the opinion on sticking with the OEM plugs. I had a '91 Mercury Tracer (Escort clone) that I put aftermarket plugs in. It pinged like crazy. After talking to a coworker who's dad and brother were Ford mechanics, I put OEM plugs in and cured the problem. She said Ford's were picky about ignition parts.
