My buddy just got a 97 F150 XL with the 4.6L V8 and thinks he's got piston slap.

i kinda know what it is, but can anybody explain it more to me? and like how he'd go about to get it fixed or whatever?

any other problems to look out for with the 97 4.6L?

I dont think there was a poblem with the 4.6,that was a 5.4 problem. I have a 97 4x4 4.6 with 98,000mi and not a problem except for left side upstream o2 sensor,spark plugs,and wires.
