which gear

the other day i decided to see if my pickup had a govener well it didnt (99 stock 5.4 supercab) i hit the peg a 3000rpm and i didnt shut it down till 4500rpm and i still had alot of petal left i was wonderin if this all took place in 3rd or overdrive since i didnt pay attention to the shifts and i dont plan on doin it again. (this was the first time that i even had it over 80 and ive had it for over a year now), how fast was i goin?

We need to know what size tires you have and the rear gear ratio to calculate how fast you were going. Don't get too impressed by the fact that your truck had a lot of pedal left. Sometimes that only translates into 5-10 mph.

i have the 3.55 and the stock tires 255s or 265s i dont remember which ones its too cold to go out and look 16' rims and i want to say the side walls are 70s but im not sure not a good memory when it comes to tires

If you have stock tires and they are 16 inch then it is most likely 255 70 R16. In 3rd you would have been doing 113 mph @ 4500 rpm. In OD @ 4500 you would be doing 162mph. I doubt you were in OD.
