HD engion vs Lightning

What is the engine difference between an 02 HD motor and an 02 Lightning motor?

I know there is the 40 HP. But what accounts for that 40HP? Pulley size? Chip?
Does the HD have forged rods and pistons like a Lightning?

The HD runs 6# of boost the Lightning runs 8#.

FYI....There is no "chip" on either vehicle. But if your referring to the PCM program then I am pretty sure the Lightning program is a bit more aggressive.

All internals are the same with the 2 motors as well.

fordtruckworld.com just did an article on this topic, was about boling on the lighting pulley assembly to a HD (something of this matter, not exactly sure)

but pretty much the only difference is the pulley size.

That's not right......2# of boost does not make 40hp on a stock motor.

More info here
