60,000 mile tune up

My 98 f-150 4x4 is getting close to 60,000 miles. Is there any reason why i should take it to the dealer for the scheduled service/tune up? Will my Ford ESP coverage be voided going to my local mechanic? Thanks for all replies, RkyMtnBama

Cool tune-up

During the 60,000 mile tune up what else should be done besides replacing the sparkplugs and sparkplug wires? Thanks again, RkyMtnBama

If you have'nt done it already, change your tranny & rearend fluid. Grease all grease fittings. Change fuel filter. Change PCV valve. Change plugs & wires. Check your shocks and replace if necessary. Flush your coolant system out and refill with a 50/50 mix of water and anti-freeze. Check air conditioning system (freon) sp? Rotate tires. That's about all I can think of.
