Idle speed? 550rpm low?

Idle speed? 550rpm low?
This question is for my '88 Bronco II. My idle is around 550rpm at idle when it is fully warm. I think this is a little low. My question is what should I set my idle around. I was thinking maybe 700-900?

It depends on your engine. A good rule of thumb is 650 - 750 in gear. If the idle has dropped over time you may want to check and clean your throttle body and idle circuits. If they getted gummed up it will bring your idle down.
