The new 'burnout' thread!
A couple of guys were talkin about an old thread on how to spin your tires, and said they wished they could find it. Well, I'm reviving it! Any tips, tricks, or know-how on how to spin the tires in your 4x4 or 4x2 truck are anticipated! So let's get thinkin!
I for one, like to pop 'er in reverse, then shift to drive, so the tires have no CHOICE but to spin...Lot's of fun, especially out at Young's truck sales (lol neal, JMC...) Let's keep 'em comin!

One of my personal favorites is rolling down a hill backwards while still in drive and then flooring it that usually does it, just dont roll backwards to fast with it in drive the engine will quit.
I can even get my awd grand cherokee to spin by doing this.

What are you guys talking about?
All you gotta do is put your foot on the brake, then step on the gas and slowly ease up on the brake and hold enjoy the smoke.
Whats so complicated>?

Heeheeehee, ya gotta love this topic.
Any transmission repairmam or mechanic reading this is fiendishly rubbing his hands together and planning a vacation in the Bahamas with the money he''ll be collecting!
I always found tranny fluid to be very slippery and it produces copious amounts of smoke too!

Better yet, the reverse drop
OUCH !
Would you believe that I treat other people's vehicles better than mine. Its kind of like borrowing a tool and returning it busted. I don't ever do that. If I break your tool you just got yourself a new one.
With my setup, 33s and 3.55:1 gears and a stick. I have to rev it to 4000 rpm to get the torque to spin them. Now I am talking about a burn out, right? Not a chirp the tires and take off, but a sit there and spin. Now, if you don't care about the longevity of the drive train then the tried and true neutral drop will spin them every time. Well that is till an important part falls off.

Myself, unless it is at the track, I personally see no point of provig how quick I can trash a pair of tires, and with the F1s on the summer wheels, I have about a snow ***** chance in hell of smoking them that much, grip then gone !
With good tires I can't burn 'em without powerbraking. With them worn like they are now, I have to start off slow or it'll rip 'em every time.
But you don't really buy a 4x4 ORP with burnouts in mind.
Ok, not on a regualr basis, them damn tires cost too much!

Supercrew 4x4 are generally too heavy to spin the tires unless there is rain or snow on the road. I guess I didn't buy it to do burnouts anyway. My old '99 supercab would smoke the crap out of those wrangler rt/s' though!!!!!!!!!
Come up north, find an unplowed parking lot and spin away.
I suppose after you all get done beating the snot out of the vehicle, you'll bring it back to the dealer for "Warranty Work".
Each to their own....sigh....
