HI!... ALEX : Welcome to the site. 1st off what exactly do you have done to your stroked 351-W? I also have a 408 that's currently making 713H.P N/A. I'm currently running a set of TRICK FLOW "R" heads that have been fully race ported/polished with bigger valves. These in my opinion are better than the EDELBROCK heads. If you want some SERIOUS heads take a look at the ROBERT YATES "HIGH" port heads. Also these particular FORD engines don't like single patern cams too much. Try to find a split patter cam that bigger on the exhaust. That 630/630 sounds like too much cam to me. I'm only running a LUNATI roller at 593/624.
hey thanks for the help heres some of the internal parts. just breifly heres what i have. ESP" 6.250" c-c H-beam connecting rods. ESP" 4340 forged steel 4.000" stroke crankshaft.srp pistons and file fit rings.thats just some of the things.also im thinking of getting a new rotating assembly that has a 4.100 stroke crank and 6.200 rods if im right it will make a 418. so shoud i try to find a cam something like u have. im looking to get some good power. so with say a cam like you have id be better off with a set of trick flows, or those robert yates. im trying to find peak power but i cant go out spending a whole ton of money on heads just to see if they work im not going to do the rotating assembly until a couple of years down the road.but just for now im looking for a good set of heads i know i dont make much sense or anything but if u can understand what i mean please tell me whta u think i should do.
