Just pulled the left head off a V10 in a E450. Man do they squeeze that into the hole. 8 hours to get it on the bench. I was told you could do it without pulling the front cover. You may believe it if you have never done one. Let me tell you there is no way. I am guessing the V8 is the same. Anyway not a fun job. The good thing is you only need a few sockets, but a lot of swivals.
