Anyone have an old Aerostar or somethin like it?
I need a vehicle to strip down, and transfer to my '57 Mercedes...
The transmission tunnel(yeah, it's got a tunnel) is only 20 inches long, and at it's smallest point, goes down to 7 inches wide...So i need a VERY small tranny...an aerostar would be perfect...I don't know the size of a 302 Ford Or 305 Chevy engine, so i was wondering if anyone could possible maybe measure it? Just a few quick checks...And if anyone (in or around windsor) Knows of an aerostar or 302/305 (if it'll fit) Gimme a line! Thanks guys!

The Aerostars never came with a 302. They came with either a 3.0L or 4.0L V6 with your choice of a 4 speed automatic or 5 speed manual.
I had a '91 that I almost swaped in a 350hp 302. It would have fit if I put an electric fan in it and a couple of motor mount mods. Would have been a real sleeper for those camaros.

Oh, I know they came with V-6's...I was just saying I wanted EITHER an Aerostar, OR a 302/305 from something else...I need some info On whether or not a 302 will fit!
