Ya, use whatever you can!

Use premium, remove the A/F if you dont have a K&N, make sure your front tires have plenty of air... Im not sure if you should raise or lower the rear (traction vs. drag?)

ummm, distract him at take off by swirving at him a bit

take out your passenger and rear seat...

take off the tailgate.. (or leave it up since maybe it gives more downforce some say)

ummm.. Install a superchips tuner if you dont have it!

cut off your muffler if you dont have a freeflow sys.

eh, someone will think of more

Don't waste your time making a lot of changes or using premium gas or anything. Just show up with your truck the way you always drive it, but stop off at the hardware store and buy a box of tacks. Simply place them in front of his tires when he isn't looking, make sure he pulls up before the race and you should have no problem.

If you have not changed your fuel filter in a while you should. If it's been over 5000 to 6000 miles you will feel the dif.

Camaro V6's aren't that fast. I beat my friend's 89 RS with my mom's 4 cylinder Volvo!

You can always resort to the old "banana in the tailpipe" trick.

Unhappy okay...Trouble now??!!?!

Allright...just found out that my buddy's Camaro is a 305 V-8..
Now what? Am I in trouble? What if I raced my STOCK '94 with a 5.8...Would I stand a chance? I need some more tips though, guys...anything...Like off the shelf I can buy? Like octane booster or something?

But i need to know...If i lowered the rear tire pressure, would that be worse on drag, or better for traction?

It's a big race...I got ALOT riding on it...(250 bucks...Hey, i'm 16)
I NEED to beat him...HELP!!!

Put some sugar in his gas tank the day before the race

Lightbulb

Just relax and keep the distance short. The first generation lightenings come wth a 410 gear so you will take him out of the hole with no traction problems but after a quarter of a mile or 100mph you run out of gear. He will be stronger on the top end so for extra insurance, after you pull him out of the whole, once he starts catching up just tap you brake lights. He will instinctively let up for a second and then it will be to late. Just my 2 cents.

Simple things you can try ( other then the bannana in the tail pipe )
Over inflate your front tires.
Crank up the front bar, so your weight transfer is already part way there.
Remove your spare tire and hitch ( if it has one and you can still get it out ).
Don't have more then 1/4" tank of gas in the truck, no use hauling all the weight around for nothing, that is unless you are playing road race from LasVegas to LA

Beyond that, there are a few others things that could be removed to reduce the weight, but taking out the pass seat makes it look as if you are already knowing you are getting your ***** handed to you.

Guess you sould have checked that engine size before you layed out 2-50 on the race.
Good luck, you're going to need it.
