Question 300 ci question

I just racked up my 89 f-150 w/ a 300. I'm now looking at a 1995, and I was surprised to learn it too had a 300. I always thought 1989 was the last year that engine was made. Has it been offered after '89? If so, were there changes, etc? Owner said motor was original. Any help would be appreciated, including any problems w/ 95 in particular.

My '93 F-150 had a 300/6. I think Ford ran this great engine up through '96 (until the new body style). I'm not sure what was in an '89 but I can't imagine it would be very different. Pop the hood & take a look. Where's the ignition control modual? Multiport or thottlebody injection? Look for things like that. I'm pretty sure the only difference between the '89 year and the '95's is cosmetic.

Thanks, medic...yeah, what I was getting at, is major stuff like aluminum heads or one of Fords digbat patents. Haven't heard of any warping or major things w/ these motors. Thanks again.

Hmmm...would a Mopar 225 fit on those mounts?
