Help!
OK. First off let me say Im new here and do not own a ford truck. But my dad does and as long as I can remmember thats all he has owned. Currently he owns a 91 F-150 XLT Lariet. Brought it brand new currently has over 321k miles w/ the straight 6 engine. Ok so as you can imagine it has began to run a little rough. It has a miss in it and feels like a moving back massager when riding in it. But thats not the point. My question is where is the PCV valve on this truck. My dad cant seem to locate it, and his truck is very important b/c as you can tell he does alot of driving. So any information would be very useful to me and my dad.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I dont know about the 91 but I had an 81 and the PVC valve was right on top of the valve cover. Your dad's 91 300 I6 cant be too much different so I'd start by checking there. Yank it out and give it a good shaking, it should make a rattling noise if it,s not gummed up.
BTW i had 145,000 miles on mine when I sold it & it still ran like a champ!
Good luck.

On the head near the firewall. you'll have to climb up and look. Follow the vac tree(on firewall pass side of the motor) and follow the lines, one is to modulator valve(tranny on 91 I belive is still a vac control) another is to pcv , and I think the 3rd is to the charcol canister.
