I recently started looking into Propane Injection system for my truck 5.4l gas. I have talked to people with SD f250 propane inj powerstroke ,and one guy in particular couldn't think of anything negitive to say about it , he also had banks exhaust and Chip and he said could pull his 5th wheel 12,000 lbs??? like no tomorrow! very powerful! said could through you back into seat ?? now I never knew you could add this to a gas engine , but have recently heard otherwise ? any Propane injections guys out here , I looked and couldn't find any information how about it guys , post your comments here , need more information , also any good web sites??

We have a few pre-1997 F-150s at work that were converted to use propane. From my personal experience, the MPG on propane is less, although I never really calculated it and also on the power is WAY down, but maybe thats because these are V-6s...

Oh ya, the exhaust pipe is totally clean, but the exhaust smell makes me sick.

like Nitrous

Bikenut , thank you for the reply , you would be refering to Propane conversion, engine running only on propane , I agree it is smelly. this set up is like noz type of set up , and kicks on only when wide open Throttle, used as a performacne boost! the engine is still running on gas normally the rest of the time ,but is also breathing in the propane to give extra kick. . .

thanks for the reply , Skully

Ahh, gotcha. Sorry
So you're saying a shot of propane at WOT would give a kick?

They do that on gas motors? I thought it was only for diesels.
