It is simply amazing the wealth of info you can find on here. I haven't come across any other boards, Ford or not that compare to this one. The members knowledge and desire to provide us with everything they have learned is awesome.

I agree Rugby! I did a spindle lift on my truck last month and was able to find out everything about these lifts including expected ride and some photos of what it would look like, on this message board. Great stuff.

I appreciate posts!!

Change your oil every 3000 miles and it does not matter what oil or filter you use.

Good advice of course threeforks but there are exceptions. I got much more interested in filters after hearing the motor in our family car clatter away right after start up. The shop simply replaced the oil filter - the anti drainback valve was bad in the filter I'd installed. This caused the engine to starve for oil for a few seconds after starting.

Maybe a coincidence but the valve train went out in that car about a year later.

Any part can fail but, clearly some filters are built better than others.

i pay a little more for fully sythetic Mobil 1 5w30 and change it every 5500-6000. OIl is still semi-clean and i run gravel at times too
