It's an .avi file, so Windows Media Player should play it. You might need to check the settings on your player and make sure it's set to play .avi files. That or you may need to download (free) the proper CODEC add-in.

Later,

J

You have to get a divx codec. www.cnet.com and search for "divx" in download...

Angry Really?

As a former 4.2L V-6/auto F-150 owner, I'm having trouble believing your results. You may be right, but... I'm skeptical!

Especially since I own a new Impala that does 0-60 in about the same time, stock, as your modded truck does. This is at a weight significantly less than your truck, with the same horsepower rating and nearly as much torque.

My 4.2, with auto and 3.55s, was a dog.

Might want to have that speedo checked, eh?

Oh, but not a bad time nonetheless. 9 seconds (or less) is about what a new Chevrolet crewcab 2500 with 454 would do (I'll admit, I test drove one a couple years ago).

Sweeet.

yeah...as Talleywacker said, with the new gears, I will be hitting 60 at 4,270 rpms....It's a mathmatical formula, so I'm hitting that(about 64mph) at 8.999 sec .

Once I get my chip burned I will definitely get another video for ya. I'm getting firmer shifting so that may drop a few millionths off my time. Plus I will hopefully be putting in an electric fan kit soon...that will definitely help.

About the impala...the 03 weighs 3,466 and my truck wighs 4064 stock. The 4.2s have 252 ft-lbs of torque vs 225 for the impala...plus an extra 2 HP stock.

Don't worry...in another week or so, I'll be faster than your impala(hopefully). No offense or anything, I just hate Chevys

Just like horsepower IS a mathmatical formula. It takes so much HP to pull a 4,000lb truck to a certain MPH in a certain distance.

Could care less what people say about math, HP is MATH!

it doesn't work off of e/t tho, just mph.

Talley- of all the things you've written here that I agree with, this one is the biggest. Math is everything.

0-60 = nap time!!!

I stopwatched a few 0-60s for my truck before my chip install. Prolly not real accurate but if the chip makes a big enough difference than Ill see it in the times.

avg 0-60 = 10.2

and thats without power braking or slamming it into gear after revving it up. Just easy takeoff.

Thats as good as the v6 cougar though!!!!!!!! and its supposed to be a sports car!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, now! Remember, I'm STILL a Ford truck driver... and wouldn't drive anything else (when it comes to trucks). Bought the Impala because I needed good gas mileage and a nice car for the ladies (sorry, my '91 F-150 doesn't cut it here in mid-Georgia--though it did the trick just fine in New Mexico!)

The main thing, in my experience, that makes Chevrolet vehicles fast is that they hang on to the low gear longer than the Fords... In other words, they're higher revving.

Let me know how close you get to the Impy. It's bone stock (for now), but I'm not holding out for more than about a 6.5 second 0-60 even after it gets mods such as chip, cold air intake, and exhaust. Won't be doing any supercharging--this car's gonna be around for awhile, just like my '91 F-150.
