Help!!!!!!
I just changed tranny fluid with Royalpurple, and now there is fluid all under my truck. I seems to be coming from the rear seal on the tranny's output shaft. Did I add to much (3.75)qts. See my post in Transmision's for more details. Help!!!!!!

Tools needed:
Tranny fluid/oil pump (autozone, oriely, napa, pepboys)
440 channel locks
oil catch pan
4 qrts of new mercon rated ATF
1. remove fill plug
2. put something under tranny to catch old fluid
3. remove drain plug
4. let oil drain out completely
5. screw in drain plug and tighten real good
6. use Tranny Fluid Pump from oriely or autozone
7. pump new fluid into fill
8. you want fluid to be full to the fill hole, it will leak out letting you know it's full
9. tighten fill plug.
Done!
Total time: 15 Minutes

As you can see from his instructions you wouldn't have been able to put to much fluid in your tranny fill hole because it would have just leaked out.

One thing to remember, royal purple atf is real thin also... it could be you have a small leak on the yoke seal (if i remember right)
Have you ever ran your truck through high water?... This could be the cause of it leaking.

I do think it is the seal that is leaking, but I think that be having to much pressure in the trans, it blew the seal. Have you replaced this seal. I am pretty sure I will be doing this soon. And I only put in the 3.75qts, but I dont think I got it all out.

If this problem came up without warranty I suppose I'd have to (nobody but me works on my truck).
Never done it but shouldn't be too hard. At least I know what is involved with doing this; removing driveshaft etc...

With 33K, an extended warranty and a lowered suspension, is there anyway that it could be covered if I played dumb. Maybe not the honest thing but dealers rip people off daily?
