I'm telling you it's the stock injectors. they are loud to begin with and seeing how you have 83,000 miles, and probably haven't been changing your fuel filter every 10k and droping in fuel injector cleaner every 6-10k the sound is even louder.
Just ask anyone here... Our injectors are loud. Put your finger on a injector and you can hear the sync between that diesel sound and the pulse you feel.

Dont you just love that sound, well I do. I was wondering if anyone knew the specs on our stock injectors?

I see you have straight pipes on your truck, how do they sound? Is it a deep mellow sound? Or does it produce a loud crackle? Me and my buddys have been debating on an exhaust for my 4.2 5 speed. Buut havnt thought of anything that would make it sound good since we really dont like the sound of a pissed off bumble bee hive.
