Lightbulb acetone badges

Has anyone here acetoned there badges and keeped the XLT sticker on there. How hard was it to work around it?or how did you do it? I want to keep the XLT on there.

I gave it a good try . . . but a cornoer of one of the letter started to lift so all of them had to go. I just did the entire badge and replaced the 'XLT' with new ones!

I remember reading that someone was careful enough to do it but I don't remember who it was.

Give it a try, yo can always replace the sticker if you have to . . .

Sorry for the mix up. You can go to f150 world and look under gallery for his pics. To narrow the search He has a 2001 F-150 stock suspension 2wd and is in Texas. I'll try to get pics of it tonight and post them tommorow for those of you who want to see them.

Do you guys leave them on the truck when you do it and mask around them? And you just rub them down with acteone? What are the badges made out of?
