You're preaching to the choir here. . .but for the benefit of those naysayers who can't seem to believe that the V6 is anything more than a paper weight. . .keep going and watch as the numbers slowly start to climb over the 350, 400, 450 hp marks.

Kenny Duttweiler (from your neck of the woods, Talley) runs a 10 second quarter mile (and does some massive wheelies) in a NORMALLY ASPIRATED 4.1L Buick V6 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.

Later,

LMAO!!! Some people just can't take a joke.
(Those are the people that really are dumbasses, that refuse to believe that they are one. . .or something.)

I wanna put 4.30's in my rig so I can do this . . . . easier.

Dude you how many times I've told wake up it's only a V6! They tell me to just go out and buy a Lightning. I don't listen to them though....I guess I have hearing problems?? I want this V6 to be my project Truck and just have some fun with it. I could go and buy ever thing right now for my V6, but I just don't want to make any mistake, just trying to learn some things from Talley and WrongdayJ. Hey Talleywacker do you know of any one that has done any work to their Upper & lower intakes, cause I hate the plastic. I know all about Supersix's intakes but I just wanted to get some info from you.

Lightbulb This is how I look at it....kinda.

No matter what I say here, if I had the chance to buy a lightning and it would not put me in a LOT of debt, I probably would...but since I have the 4.2, I'll say this....

You can spend 33K and get a fabulous truck, and I believe it is worth every penny and probably more, or you can spend about 15K-20K on a 4.2L and an extra 5K-7.5K(I think) in aftermarket stuff and make it really fast....maybe not as fast as a modded L, but it's a fun journey bringing your truck from the 17s to the 13s.(Not that I have). Plus you learn a lot in the process( I am anyway).

Again, this is all just theoretical and I'm just throwing this out there for conversation...but it's not a bad way to look at things.

My point exactly! I have all the accessories to make my truck look like a Lightning (got it for free) cause some dumb *** spun some rocks and they hit my truck. So that's 2g's out of the way. All I have to do now is lower my truck, get some 18s, and put on my side skurts. And then just start playing with the engine.
