i have an automatic what gears should i get i heard 4:10, and if so what will it cost for parts and labor.(ball park figure)
i am doing these mods in this order beacause i want to see what gains each one does.
1)air intake
2)exhaust
3)chip
4)tires (235's to maybe 285's)
5)gears
should i do these in this order?
my truck i a reg. cab it's that marroonish color xl package. i want to replace any chrome to black even the wheels. i can't wait.
any suggestions on black wheels?

 

I like the idea of changing the chrome to black. I plan on doing the same thing. Never was a big fan of chrome. All the Chevy wieners always chromed their cars out. . .maybe that's why I don't like it. . .who knows.

I'd go with the 4.10's. Plan on spending around $300.00 on parts and gaskets/fluids, etc.

The order of your mods looks logical and well thought out. If you don't mind, I'd be interested in seeing your results for each mod as you do them. Be sure to post your results (good or bad) along with pictures if you can.
