Yesterday my 97 XL with just under 87,000 on it started with the door chime as if the lights are on or the keys are in the ignition. Open the door and ding, ding, ding. Just wondering if nayone has had this problem and any quick ideas to start troubleshooting at. I don't have a lot free time to trace wires and troubleshoot over the next two weeks so thought maybe someone else has had this.

I had the same problem and I posted a thread and I was told to spray WD-40 in my door latch. I just sprayed some WD-40 on the latch and that problem was solved. I was also told it could be my door switch but the WD-40 worked so I didnt even bother to mess with the door switch. Give it a shot and let us know how it worked.
