upgrade engine
do what barry bonds does....
get on the juice!
no, seriously... other than NOS, obviously a blower or turbo would be nice; as far a easy bolt on's, i think a chip works well on these trucks, and opening up the exhaust always helps. pulleys help but they reduce the effectiveness of the accessories, so be ready for stuff not to work as well as it did before.
i dont think the intake mods do much on these trucks (or most cars for that matter)
of course, the best way to go fast is to swap in a v8, i'm still waiting for someone to do a 302 swap.

The torino is in mint condition... the original motor is in a crate filled with oil to perserve it. It has a completely built up 429. so if it blows it's not the original motor.
btw... this is the only car i've driven that when you speed shift into 3rd the front tires lift off the ground 5 inches's.... I'm not making it up either. 70mph and doin a wheelie is very scary.

I totally believe you, brother.
Man, I'm getting all misty eyed over here just thinking about it.
Reminds me of my days racing late model Mustangs. I built a 91 GT and put in a stroked 351 windsor with 2 stages of nitrous- one fogger nozzle in the throttle body, and the other stage was direct port injection (8 nozzles). When you jumped on it and hit the first stage (the single nozzle) it would lift the tires about 7" and then come down really soft. But the second stage (the big one) would JERK the tires well over a foot off the ground and by this time I was rolling about 50 mph.
I've never had a big block, but I've rode in many vehicles that did. One can never believe the power those suckers make until you get planted in your seat so hard you can't reach up and touch the dash board until the driver takes his foot out of it.
Talley- if you can, post a pic of the Torino. I'd love to see it.

I don't have a pic. The Torino belongs to my uncle, along with his 01 and 94 Lightning, and his 2 Boss 302's. He lives in Indiana and I'm suppose to travel up there the 1st week of July for our family reunion. I say I'm suppose to because I'm not sure if I will make it or not seeing how 1. My truck with bald tires will never make the trip, and 2. Strapped for cash right now.
If I do go, I will definately take some pics.
