has anyone had trouble with the timing chain cover leaking on models after '97.
my old '97 never had this problem, but my g/f's '01 is now showing signs of a leak developing. i noticed on the last oil change a stripe down the block and a couple of drips of coolant on the lower hose.
of course when we took it to the dealer the tech said he couldn't see a leak so now it has to go in for a pressure test.
just wondering if anyone else has experienced a leak like this on a newer truck.

well the truck went in for a pressure test last night. it was leaking but not from the timing chain. the water pump gasket had apparently developed a small leak.
well glad it's fixed, only took a few hours for them to do.
