mine is average

I just figured it out, after my weekly fillup today. All city driving I got 14.5 mpg, not bad but it could be better.I do have a rather heavy foot so I know that it would be if I didn't get on it so much.My highway (last time i checked) was around 19 mpg on relatively flat ground. My all time best was on the way home from a hunting trip in the mountains last fall...........24 mpg, it was downhil all the way home.My gas mileage has steadily gotten better since I broke 15K (I now have 25K)

BTW, my truck is a 4x4 reg cab with the 3.55 rearend in it (only a Jet air filter)

I usually get 15-19 but on a drive from Lubbock to Houston - mostly flat, with the a/c off (only Panel) and going 70 I got 22 mpg. I think the gas mileage tends to suffer after 2000 rpms

I filled up yesterday. I wasn't totally empty, and I had over 360 miles on my tank, so I thought I was going to break 17 or 18. NO! I got 16.6 on that tank. Granted, it's all city driving, but it's not like my truck is fast or anything. I don't drive with a leadfoot. One of these days, I'll have to take a roadtrip (with the wind at my back) so I'll feel better about my mpg...

Thumbs up v-6 mileage

I bought by 99 F-150, extended cab, used about 4 months ago. It has 80k on it. Automatic with 3.55 gear. Gets about 19 around town and 21 on the highway. So far, been real pleased with the truck. Put a K&N filter on it and use Mobil1. Looking to put a limited slip in soon as I can scare up the money.
