Post Looks like I'm trading in my truck...

As much as I have planned for my truck and as much as I like it I have decided to go ahead and trade her in when the 2003 Cobras get in. I fell in love with the new cobras because ford finally gave them a pair. I was at the dealership yesterday and was picking some colors and such. Looks like I'll have the soic blue coupe with the chrome rims and the standard 6 speed and 390hp.....the prices aren't as high as I expected, $35,000. But with bout 8,000 from my truck a $5,000 down payment it not that bad at all! Well anyways I thought I would let you guys know. It's just no fun being in the military without a bad *** sports car!

Sounds good, but your age dictates a DRASTIC increase in your insurance...going from an F-150 to a Cobra... Good Luck and have fun with it!

I wouldnt mind having a cobra myself. Dude make sure you get an insurance quote because that is the reason Iam not driving my GT any more. Insurance was a lot more then I could afford.

Well I had to put $500 down for the order. Since my family and i have bought 5 cars from this dealer in the past 3 years they gave me a break on the sticker so it ended up being just $35,695. That has been the best sticker price that I have been able to find by talking to others wh are ordering the new snakes. I am planning to pick up my car right off the assembly line , me and my buddy are going to make the drive from columbus , ga. I still have to pay some $300 prep fee. Overall my payments are going to be 401.35 a month and my insurance will go up from my 150/300/150 for $98 a month to 250/500/250 for 216 a month on the cobra. The cool thing is I'll be riding up im my friends 98 SS and I will spank him all the way back to GA.

Hope you like the color PURPLE!

Neighbor has a new "sonic blue" GT. He thought it was purple. I had to tell him it was "sonic blue" To each his own.

Congrats on a killer car!

True, the first time I saw the color in person was on a new GT. It was an overcast day and it looked purple as hell but then I got closer and it was just an awesome shade of blue, I happened to go back a few days later to seal my deal and that same car in the bright sunshine looked awesome, it's almost a mystic type of paint. It'll be unique and with that much power not many people can talk much trash I can't wait to have to start correcting people on the color of my car, it's BLUE, not purple....

I just can't wait to see what 2 more lbs of boost, longtubes, eshaust, a MAF, TB, and chip+dyno tune will do to the beast. The 4v'ers respond so well to boost and airflow mods just imagine what freeing up this motor would give you! I can't wait.

Cool Congrats on the Cobra

Yo man, congrats on the Cobra. They are the crap.

Mustangs are practically GI Issue down there at Fort Benning. I never wanted one so bad as when I was in the Army. Never bought one though.

This will be my third stang and hopefully many more will follow, I just wished I would have held on to the other two. They were all paid off but I didn't and still don't have anywhere to put them! But that's OK, just in case I ever was without a mustang to drive, I had the running pony tattoo'd on my arm And no, there is not an f-150 tattoo, that's just wierd.
