Find the oil pan at the bottom of the engine and you'll be fine.

You don't have to worry too much about removing the wrong drain plug.

The transmission doesn't have one so the engine oil is the only drain plug down there. The drain plug is on the passenger side of the engine and on the side of the pan rather than the bottom.

it's on the passenger's side if i remember correctly, and i think it's a 14MM bolt.

wait till u do the oil fitler, that one is a real pain in the butt. the 45 degree angle insures you will get oil running down your arm i perfer one of the snake wrenches to take it off

It's a 15mm bolt! Sorry TubaMan, it's just that I did a change yesterday and had to look for mine (it was on the ratchet I had in my hand! ). As for the oil running down your arm- just consider it "elbow grease"!

You could just punch a hole in the bottom like I do - let it run into the pan, and then take it off......use a staight bladed screw driver and a hammer - doesn't take much... saves the greasy elbow, and driveway....

Yeah, everytime I go to pull the oil filter off, the hot oil runs down my arm and get all over my clothes. Looks like they could've found a better location for the filter does'nt it? Plus I have to wipe the oil off of my frame right under the filter too. What a messy job!

Tried that with a Honda Accord, drove around for 3 miles leaving a trail.. (Still ran) Then the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) boys/girls showed up with smiley faces..
